Hi John:

Here’s the message from David Lang, whom you generously hosted for lunch back in January. He really enjoyed meeting you and dining at with you! Thank you again for your time and generosity.
Bests,
Laura

Here’s his message again:

Hope you are well! Please find attached my article on the trip I took to Key West in January this year, before the Florida Huddle Media Marketplace. It has just been published in the Holiday Bimonthly, a travel periodical based in Guangzhou, China and has a circulation of 100,000+ copies. It is four pages long.

In it, I talked about all the great food I tasted there – Cubano sandwich, Key Lime pie, Key West Pink Shrimp, Dolphin Fish, etc.; as well as places such as Sloppy Joe’s which was frequented by Hemingway. I highlighted the Hog Fish dishes offered by Robert Mongelli at his Hogfish Bar & Grill on Stock Island, and the transformation of his food shed in a shady neighborhood to a very popular, well-established eatery nowadays. I also featured John Mirabella and his signature Lion Fish sushi at his Castaway Waterfront Restaurant & Sushi Bar on Marathon Island. Lion Fish is not a native specie in the eastern Atlantic and the Caribbean. Given its voracious appetite and great reproductive power, they are upsetting the natural food chain in the areas. The only way to get rid of them is to eat them, as John has said. Its meat is chewy and does not smell fishy, idea
for sushi or sashimi!

Have a great holiday long weekend!

Best,

David
